Rock out to some great music and help our fellow North Dakota city recover from a devastating flood. Your kids are probably too young to remember the Grand Forks flood of ’97 but they will remember helping Minot in this fun and musical way.
Tickets are still available to the Black Eyed Peas concert in Minot. The charity concert in honor of flood recovery (www.minotrising.com) takes place THIS Saturday, Sept. 3 at the North Dakota State Fair Grandstand. Josh Duhamel, a Minot native and Hollywood actor, is the honorary chairman for the Minot Area Recovery Fund, which will help Minot and the surrounding area in its long-term flood recovery needs. Duhamel is married to Fergie, the lead singer of The Black Eyed Peas. Doors open at 6:00 and the concert starts at 7:00pm. You can also order a Minot Rising/Black Eyed Peas Concert t-shirt, now. Go to www.minotrising.com . If you go to the concert, head over to the family-friendly Party in Plaza before the concert. You’ll find food and drink vendors, live music and flood fundraising from noon to 6 p.m. in front of the grandstand. All concert proceeds will go to the Minot Area Community Foundation’s Minot Area Recovery Fund.
