The basic Windows info session is designed as a class for beginners who have little or no experience with computers.  You will gain an understanding of the mouse, keyboard, tower, desktop, and monitor, get familiar with Windows, learn the ins and outs of the program, and file organization, and become familiar with the “desktop”.

Do you need space to work on your novel? Come to the Grand Forks Public Library Write-In. On November 16, any time from 9am to 5:45pm, writers are encouraged to come and write in our meeting room. The Write-In will be followed by a meeting of the library’s writing group at 6pm. The GFPL Write-In is part of National Novel Writing Month. For more information, go to www.nanowrimo.org.

Chemistry Fun Day Sat. 11/5/11

 

UND’s Undergraduate Chemistry Club is hosting it’s 2nd Chemistry Fun Day! It’s this Saturday, November 5 from 2m-3:30pm at Abbott Hall 101.

This year’s event will be HANDS-ON, so participation is limited, and sign-ups are needed to attend. We want to fill the event, and make it the best for those who participate. Children in grade 3 and up are invited to attend. Experiments will be set up by chemistry students in the chemistry labs for participants to explore. There will be chemistry items for each child to take home.

Pregnancy Breathe & Stretch @ Aurora Medical Park

TUESDAY, OCTOBER 25. 7pm-8:30pm @ Aurora Medical Park

This is a basic, gentle stretching class followed by progressive relaxation. A place where pregnant mommas can share ideas or any fears/concerns about pregnancy and birth. If you have recently had a baby, we would love to meet your little one and hear your birth story!

RSVP if possible so we can be sure to have enough balls for everyone.

If you know of anyone who may be interested, you are welcome to invite them to the group or pass this information on to them.

If you are new to the class, come in the doors near Wall’s Medicine Center and take the elevator to the left. Go to the second floor and go left and then right, past/around the open loft/ railing. Head south to the conference room. It is the first left past the restrooms.
